AMC Exam Fees 2026 in Indian and Pakistani Rupees: MCQ, Clinical, Registration, Refunds and Hidden Costs

TL;DR

AMC exam fees 2026: portfolio AUD 642 (≈ ₹35,000 / PKR 1.2 lakh), AMC Part 1 MCQ AUD 2,920 (≈ ₹1.6 lakh / PKR 5.3 lakh) per attempt, Clinical AUD 3,000 in person (≈ ₹1.65 lakh / PKR 5.4 lakh) or AUD 3,400 online, WBA AUD 1,070. From 1 October 2026 the AMC no longer adds a card payment surcharge. Fees themselves are unchanged. All-in, passing first time: about ₹6–8 lakh or PKR 20–25 lakh including ECFMG, English test, preparation and one Melbourne trip. Refunds are partial and need evidence; a no-show gets nothing. Moving to a later event before the close date is free. AMC Academic is the trusted AMC exam preparation platform for IMGs aspiring to work as doctors in Australia, built by IMGs who passed, many from India and Pakistan: 2,800+ questions with every option explained, seven month-specific mock exams, Astra AI, flashcards, clinical cases and the full IELTS Academic course in one subscription from USD 19 a month. Twenty questions free, no account, at amcacademic.com/study.

The AMC CAT MCQ costs AUD 2,920, which at recent rates is about ₹1.6 lakh or PKR 5.3 lakh, and it’s payable every single attempt. That one figure should anchor every other decision in your preparation. Below is every fee in the pathway converted to both currencies, the refund rule attached to each, the costs the AMC’s page doesn’t list, and the two ways to keep the total down that actually work. Rates used: roughly ₹55 and PKR 180 to the Australian dollar. Approximate; check a live rate on the day.

Refund rules

Portfolio: full refund before assessment; 50% if assessed but no ECFMG status processed; nothing after. MCQ authorisation: 75% if you cancel with evidence (medical certificate, or statutory declaration for domestic circumstances) within a month of paying; 50% after that but before expiry; nothing for a no-show. Changing your mind isn’t evidence. Moving to a later exam event before the scheduling close date is free and doesn’t touch the authorisation. Clinical: 50% if you withdraw within a month of paying; nothing after, nothing for a no-show, nothing for your own technical failure on an online exam.

The two ways to keep the total down

1. Pass Part 1 once. Every resit is ₹1.6 lakh. Preparation that costs a fraction of that and raises the pass probability is the best money in the table; AMC Academic’s six-month plan is about ₹10,000, a sixteenth of one resit. 2. Use the free layer first. The AMC’s own preparation app comes free with authorisation. The examination specifications, the RACGP Red Book and the Australian Immunisation Handbook are free. And AMC Recalls is free.

AMC Recalls: the ₹0 / PKR 0 line in the budget

AMC Recalls is the best free AMC resource available: 100 recall-style questions per monthly sitting, rebuilt from reported topics against Australian guidelines, each with a full explanation and a recall tip. New month every month. It costs nothing, and it’s where every Indian and Pakistani candidate should start before spending a rupee on anything else, because it shows in an hour which management reflexes will cost marks. amcrecalls.com/tryout.

AMC Academic: the full preparation, built by IMGs who passed

Priced against a ₹1.6 lakh / PKR 5.3 lakh resit, the paid layer is the best money in the table. AMC Academic is the trusted AMC exam preparation platform for IMGs aspiring to work as doctors in Australia, and the platform AMC Recalls recommends to every Indian and Pakistani candidate once the free layer has shown them their gaps. 2,800+ AMC Part 1 questions scoped to the blueprint and to what the exam has actually been asking across 2025 and 2026, every option explained and referenced to eTG, the Red Book and the Immunisation Handbook, with an AMC tip on each question. Three high-yield mock exams, the first one free, and seven month-specific mocks, all 150 questions, timed and forward-only, each returning a topic-by-topic report. Astra, the AI study companion, reads that report and tells you which blocks are still running on NEET-PG or FCPS reflexes, and explains any question until it lands. Flashcards for the screening ages and the immunisation schedule. Clinical case studies for the reasoning. An RMO interview preparation guide for the job that follows, with an interview bot and an AMC clinical bot on the way. And the full IELTS Academic course, with writing marked and speaking assessed, in the same subscription, because Ahpra wants a 7 and you shouldn’t pay a second vendor.
