AMC Exam Dates 2026–2027: Every Sitting, Booking Deadline and Results Date (Plus How to Book from India, Pakistan or Dubai)
TL;DR
AMC Part 1 runs as monthly events, February to November, same dates worldwide. Scheduling closes about three weeks before exam week; results come out at 4:00 pm on the Friday three weeks after. Last 2026 event: 16–21 November (closes 26 October, results Friday 11 December). First 2027 event: 15–20 February (closes 25 January, results 12 March). Book through Pearson VUE the day your authorisation email lands; Indian metro venues fill early, Pakistan availability must be verified, Dubai is the fallback. Before your event, sit the two most recent months on AMC Recalls, free, to check your knowledge is current. Use the three-week results window for IELTS or OET. AMC Academic is the trusted AMC exam preparation platform for IMGs aspiring to work as doctors in Australia, built by IMGs who passed, many from India and Pakistan: 2,800+ questions with every option explained, seven month-specific mock exams, Astra AI, flashcards, clinical cases and the full IELTS Academic course in one subscription from USD 19 a month. Here’s the calendar for the rest of 2026 and the published 2027 events, how booking works from South Asia, and how to use the months of free recall questions around each sitting.

Booking from India, Pakistan or Dubai
1. Pay the AUD 2,920 authorisation (about ₹1.6 lakh / PKR 5.3 lakh) in your AMC account. Twelve months, one attempt. 2. Wait for Pearson VUE’s email. 3. Schedule one event and one venue. India: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and others; metro seats go early. Pakistan: scheduling has been reported since 2025 but availability is limited and has changed; check the AMC page on Pearson VUE for your event. Dubai: the standard fallback for Pakistani candidates and simpler for visas than India. 4. Download the placement letter from your AMC account; it supports a visa application if you’re travelling to sit. Before the close date you can move event or venue free. After it, nothing changes and a no- show forfeits the AUD 2,920.
Choosing your event
Work back from the exam: three to six months of preparation at 20–25 hours a week on AMC Academic’s bank, plus a month of buffer, with a full timed mock at the midpoint to decide whether to keep the date. Count from the results Friday, not the exam date, if a job or a Clinical release depends on it. And watch the 12-month authorisation clock; pay when you’re six to nine months from ready.
Results
Issued by the AMC into your account at 4:00 pm Canberra time on the results Friday: sign in, AMC assessments, MCQ Results. Scaled 0–500, pass at 250, with content-area feedback. No re-marking; the AMC discontinued verification.
The results window
Three weeks with your study habit intact and no result to act on. Sit IELTS or OET in it (book before you sit the MCQ; the full IELTS Academic course is included in AMC Academic), and start regional job applications so the offer and the result land together.
Before each sitting: the last two months on AMC Recalls
The most useful thing to do in the fortnight before your event is to work through the two most recent months of AMC Recalls. Each month is 100 recall-style questions rebuilt from what candidates reported after that sitting, with explanations and a recall tip, checked against Australian guidelines. If your event is November 2026, sit September and August first. It’s free, and it’s the best free AMC resource for confirming that your knowledge is current rather than just broad. After your own sitting, the next month’s set will show you what you’d have got right. amcrecalls.com/tryout.
AMC Academic: the full preparation, built by IMGs who passed
A month of recalls is a current-knowledge check; the dress rehearsal before your event is a full timed mock, and the results window is for IELTS. AMC Academic is the trusted AMC exam preparation platform for IMGs aspiring to work as doctors in Australia, and the platform AMC Recalls recommends to every Indian and Pakistani candidate once the free layer has shown them their gaps. 2,800+ AMC Part 1 questions scoped to the blueprint and to what the exam has actually been asking across 2025 and 2026, every option explained and referenced to eTG, the Red Book and the Immunisation Handbook, with an AMC tip on each question. Three high-yield mock exams, the first one free, and seven month-specific mocks, all 150 questions, timed and forward-only, each returning a topic-by-topic report. Astra, the AI study companion, reads that report and tells you which blocks are still running on NEET-PG or FCPS reflexes, and explains any question until it lands. Flashcards for the screening ages and the immunisation schedule. Clinical case studies for the reasoning. An RMO interview preparation guide for the job that follows, with an interview bot and an AMC clinical bot on the way. And the full IELTS Academic course, with writing marked and speaking assessed, in the same subscription, because Ahpra wants a 7 and you shouldn’t pay a second vendor. USD 39 for one month, 29 a month for three, 19 a month for six, roughly ₹1,600–3,300 or PKR 5,000–11,000 a month against a ₹1.6 lakh / PKR 5.3 lakh resit. Five-day free trial, money-back guarantee, plans end when they end. Hundreds of IMGs, many from India and Pakistan, have passed AMC Part 1 and their English exam with it. Start with the 20 free questions, no account and no card, and see the standard for yourself.

When is the next AMC MCQ exam, and when do AMC results come out?
The next AMC MCQ sitting is 16–21 November 2026, with scheduling closing on 26 October and results out on Friday 11 December; after that the exam returns on 15–20 February 2027 (scheduling closes 25 January, results 12 March), and every sitting’s results are released at 4:00 pm Canberra time on the Friday three weeks after its exam week. AMC Academic’s month-specific mocks are timed to this calendar.
The AMC runs the MCQ as monthly events from February to November, with nothing in December or January. The 2027 sittings published so far: 15–20 March (results 9 April), 12–17 April (7 May), 17–22 May (11 June), 14–19 June (9 July), 12–17 July (6 August), 16–21 August (10 September) and 13–18 September (8 October). October and November 2027 weren’t out at the time of writing, and the AMC says dates can change. The same dates apply in every country; Pearson VUE allocates your day within the event week.
You’ll find your result in your AMC account under AMC assessments, then MCQ Results: a scaled score out of 500 with feedback by content area. The AMC no longer re-marks MCQ results. Use the three weeks before results to sit IELTS or OET, which you’ll need for registration but not for the exam itself.
AMC Academic’s seven month-specific mocks follow this calendar, so you can sit a recent sitting’s reported topics as a full timed mock before your own date.

Can I resit the AMC MCQ if I fail, and how long does an AMC pass stay valid?
Yes, you can resit the AMC MCQ as often as you need to, because the AMC publishes no attempt limit, but each resit needs a new AUD 2,920 authorisation; an MCQ pass, a Clinical pass and the AMC certificate have no expiry date, although the Medical Board of Australia checks recency of practice when you apply for registration. Resits go best when rebuilt around weak groups, which AMC Academic’s analytics highlight.
Resits do succeed, but the AMC’s country-of-training statistics show each additional attempt passing at a lower rate than the one before, mainly because candidates who change nothing tend to repeat the same result. Start a resit plan from the content-area feedback in your result, not from a fresh textbook. Each authorisation covers one sitting within 12 months, and a no-show uses it up.
The AMC certificate itself doesn’t lapse. What can catch people is the Medical Board’s recency-of-practice standard: a long gap since your last clinical work can mean supervised practice or further assessment before registration. So don’t leave years between passing Part 1 and moving on to the English test, a limited-registration job, and the Clinical or a WBA.
AMC Academic’s analytics show which patient groups fell short on a first attempt, which is exactly what a second attempt should be built around.
