When Do AMC Recalls Come Out? Release Dates for 2026–2027 Sittings

AMC Recalls publishes a free set of 100 recall questions for every AMC exam sitting within three weeks of its exam week ending. The October 2026 set (exam week 12–17 October) is due by Saturday 7 November and the November set (16–21 November) by Saturday 12 December. The AMC holds no December or January sittings, so the next set after that follows the February 2027 sitting (15–20 February) and is due by Saturday 13 March 2027.

The exam weeks are the AMC's published event dates, and the AMC has not released dates for October and November 2027 yet. Booking deadlines and results days for every sitting are in AMC exam dates 2026–2027.

Why a set never appears during a sitting

Each AMC MCQ event runs over several days, and candidates sit on different days. We wait until the last candidate in the event has finished. Then we collect the topics candidates report, identify the teaching point behind each one, write a new question to test it and check every explanation against current Australian guidelines. That takes up to three weeks. A set is built from topics, not copied questions: nothing on AMC Recalls reproduces an AMC paper. AMC recalls explained covers the method in full.

Why there are no new recalls from mid-December to mid-March

There are no AMC MCQ sittings in December or January. The November 2026 set, due by 12 December, is the last of the year, and the first 2027 set follows the February sitting. Candidates sitting AMC Part 1 in February 2027 will have ten 2026 sets by mid-December: 1,000 free recall questions. Use the gap to work through the earlier sets untimed, then do the November and October sets in timed blocks in the last three weeks before your exam week.

Which free recall sets to use before your AMC exam

Plan around the two most recent sets that arrive at least a month before your exam week. The set from the sitting just before yours lands two to nine days before your exam week starts: useful as a final check, too late to build a plan on. This matches the advice in our dates guide to sit the two most recent months before your own event.

After your own sitting

Your sitting's set arrives within three weeks of your exam week, around the time your result comes out. Work through it either way: it shows which topics came up and how the explanations treat them, and if you need to resit, it is the first set to use. How to pass AMC Part 1 on your first try covers the cycle of recall sets and mocks.

What every set contains

  • A worked explanation and a recall tip with every answer, checked against Australian guidelines.

  • Coverage that stays aligned with the AMC blueprint, in a style similar to the actual AMC

  • Questions: five options, Australian management, one best answer.

  • Free access with no card details, and every older set kept online.

Each set has its own page, such as september-2026, and all of them are listed on the free recalls page. For the free guidelines to check answers against, see every free AMC Part 1 resource. In your last month, pair each set with a timed mock: AMC Academic's month-specific mocks run at the AMC exam's pace.
