Australia PR After the AMC Exam: Visas for Indian and Pakistani IMGs
Passing the AMC exam qualifies you for registration, not residence. This guide sets out how Indian and Pakistani doctors usually reach permanent residence in Australia: a job offer and Ahpra registration, an employer-sponsored Skills in Demand (482) visa, then PR through the 186 after two years, with the points-tested 189, 190 and 491 as the alternative. It covers age limits, timing and visa charges in rupees.

AMC recalls are practice questions built from the topics candidates report after sitting the AMC MCQ exam (AMC Part 1). Candidates can't take questions out of the exam, so a recall is a record of what was tested, not a copy of a real question. We turn each reported topic into a new, original question on the same teaching point.
No. Every question on AMC Recalls is written by us. We start from the topics candidates discussed after a sitting, work out the clinical point being tested, and write a new question with our own explanation. The AMC has warned that "reconstructed" exam papers circulating online contain many incorrect questions and answers, which is one reason we don't try to reproduce them. Our disclaimer explains the process in full.
Yes. Every monthly recall set and every study guide on AMC Recalls is free to use.
Once a month. After each AMC MCQ sitting, we gather the topics candidates reported and publish a new set of 100 questions for that month. Older sets stay online, so you can work back through previous sittings.
Doctors who have sat the AMC Part 1 exam themselves. Each question is written around one teaching point and explained with the reasoning expected of a new intern in Australia. You can read who we are and how we check our questions on our About page.
No. AMC Recalls is an independent study resource. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Australian Medical Council, and we have no access to its question bank. For anything official, such as eligibility, fees, dates or exam rules, the AMC website is the authority.
I sat AMC Part 1 with nothing like this to prepare from. I built AMC Recalls so the next doctor doesn't have to.
